Theresa Duhon - BodiBalance Teacher
BFA (Dance - NYU, Tisch School of Performing Arts)

Theresa Duhon is originally from Austin, TX, where she danced with the Austin Contemporary Ballet Company. Since receiving her BFA in Dance from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, she has performed with numerous NY choreographers, including JoAnna Mendl Shaw, Sean Curran, Kathleen Dyer (KDNY), Guta Hedewig, and Karl Anderson. Her own choreography has been shown at Hatch, chashama, Red Shoes, New Choreographers on Pointe's Previews, and elsewhere. She met and began working with Carol Fonda at NYU, then danced with Carol Fonda & Company from 1996-2002, and has been teaching BodiBalance and Modern Dance (to adults) since 1999. Additional teaching experience includes teaching modern dance classes and setting pieces for KDNY in various states, as well as teaching creative movement and pre-ballet to children in TX, and choreographing for children in MA and NY. She teaches BodiBalance within the context of a modern dance class. Enjoy moving freely in the full, fluid movement phrases Theresa teaches you to be aware of how movement is initiated, while still being aware of details.
