Tomoko started dancing at the age of 4, studying classic ballet with Keiko Yamazaki and Yoshiaki Tonozaki in Tokyo. By 2005, she graduated from Nihon University College of Arts having majored in dance training in Modern Jazz dance and choreography. She worked as a dancer or choreographer in many dance and drama productions in Japan, includingTokyo Disney Land. In summer 2006, she moved to NY and began studying BodiBalance as part of Carol Fonda's Dance-NY program. Since completing her BodiBalance teacher training she has been teaching BodiBalance classes for both internatinal and domestic students. In NY, she has danced with many choreographers, like Nia Love, Mayuko Yonezawa and Carol Fonda. Her dance style is based on strong ballet technique and layered by modern and Jazz dance.
